2024 Reflections Entry Information

We're excited for the 4th Annual Reflections Self-Portrait Exhibition!
Each artist will be asked to fill out a paper 2024 Entry Form when they drop off their self-portrait at 715 Commercial St, and pay a $20 entry fee.
Entry Form will ask for the following information:- Artist contact info
- Artwork: title, medium, year completed, and price (including gallery commission)
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Artwork can be delivered September 26 - 30 during normal business hours
- DEADLINE: Monday, September 30 at 7:00 pm
- Artwork will be on display to the public from October 4 - 26, 2024
- Artwork pickup: Sunday, October 27 - Wednesday, October 30
Artwork must be picked up on or before October 31
Artist will also sign a standard contract when delivering artwork in which they agree to the following conditions:
- Artist will deliver artwork to Trox Gallery and Gifts, 715 Commercial St. Emporia, KS
- All artwork will be in compliance with standard presentation/hanging guidelines. 2D work on paper MUST be in a frame, and all frames and/or canvas paintings MUST have a wire (preferred) or sawtooth hanger to hang from a single nail/screw.
- Gallery will receive a 40% commission an all sales during the exhibition. Gallery will collect sales tax and pay Artist 60% for artwork sold within 30 day of show completion. Price listed on Entry Form must include Trox commission.
- Gallery Director will be responsible for placement and hanging of artwork.
- Label Information must be provided on Entry Form.
- Gallery has permission to photograph the artist’s artwork for the purpose of promotion. These images may be used on the Trox Gallery website and social media, or in promotional materials to advertise the gallery and current/future exhibitions.
- Artist is responsible for picking up un-sold art on the agreed-upon date, and to contact the Gallery if there is an emergency or to give permission for someone else to pick up the work. If shipping, the artist is responsible for providing paid return shipping labels, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
- Gallery takes every precaution to care for the work when on display. Artist releases the Gallery from liability for damage or theft while on display.
- Artist is responsible for and agrees to pay for any damage to the gallery walls, floor, or pedestals incurred during the exhibition of their work due to improper display hardware or use of materials. Examples include but are not limited to: damage to the floor because of heavy art falling, damage to the wall because of improper hanging device, damage to pedestal because of sharp edges or wet paint, glue, etc…
- Artist understands that there will be a $5 per day charge for work left past the pickup date of October 31, 2024 and that artwork will not be released until fee is paid for the sum of the days it is stored.
